Persons on the Live Register

The Live Register figures are published by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) at the start of every month and are acquired by collating information from returns made by directly to the CSO by each of the local offices of the Department of Social and Family Affairs.

The live register figures include part-time workers (those who work up to three days a week), seasonal and casual workers entitled to Jobseekers Benefit or Allowance (excluding systematic short-time workers & smallholders/farm assists and self-employed persons).
