Just over 6,000 days were lost in 2007 due to industrial action. This was the lowest figure ever. This chart shows both the number of working days lost and also the number of people involved by year. As the workforce grows the drop in days lost to industrial disputes is even more significant. In 2007 the workforce in Ireland hit 2.1 million.
